the Hierophant, reversed — a reading for the age

The fifth card of the major arcana is the Hierophant: the keeper of orthodoxy, the bridge between heaven and the crowd, a figure between two pillars with a herd at his feet. Reversed, he is the priest who breaks the institution to reach the god directly — the street preacher, the heretic, the trader who walked off the floor. I drew him for the age. He came up reversed. Of course he did.
