Our mission

Mooooogle began in MMXIV with a small, unfashionable idea: that a search engine could return not just answers but a little enchantment. We index the knowable web and, increasingly, the parts of it that can only be felt. By most measures we remain a search company. We are also, arguably, something else — though a page like this is not the place to say what.

Where we work

Our headquarters remain in the Pasture, with satellite offices wherever the herd happens to gather. A surprising number of our engineers came to us from finance. Each of them left something behind to be here, and none of them will say what.

Leadership

Our founders have asked not to be named. They hold, as we do, that the index is always larger than the indexer — and getting larger.
